Our human physiology is not designed to sit on westernized toilets, it’s designed to squat! Experts say squatting prevents constipation, hemorrhoids, pelvic floor issues and similar ailments. This may not be ideal in our “civilized” society so an alternative is to place your feet up on blocks. Having the thighs near the abdomen assists in proper elimination by relaxing muscles that would normally constrict the digestive tract on a raised toilet.

Show some support to your ascending and descending colons, unless you like having rotting matter in your guts. Irritability, anger and loss of energy easily arise when one has putrefied fecal matter trapped in their intestinal tract.

Just say no to evil parasite and toxin invasion!  Forward bends, extended side angle, warrior, triangle and spinal twists are postures that help to stimulate digestion. A clean diet rich in vegetables is always recommended. Peppermint, clove, ginger and cinnamon tea help with indigestion, too. Adjusting lifestyle and eating habits greatly influences our well-being. Good gut health is a choice.
