Arizona Yoga Instruction

Maui Yoga“YOGA IS A HUGE LOVE AFFAIR. IT IS A PROCESS OF INCLUDING EVERY FORM AND DIMENSION OF LIFE.” ~Sadhguru

Tirzah’s introduction into the practice of yoga began in 1999 in a gentle hatha class at a community college in Arizona. Through slow, soothing movements, she started to understand the deep connection between her breath, the rest of her body and all universal vibrations.

In 2005 she attended a Bikram yoga class in Hawaii. It was intense and way too hot. Tirzah swore she would never return. However, she came back the next day, and the next, and practiced Bikram for four years. It continued to be challenging, but the sweet sensation she felt afterwards was well worth it.

In 2008 she branched out and began practicing vinyasa, Kundalini, yin, Tantra, restorative and Ashtanga. Different classes and teachers around the world have helped her to excel on this magnificent, spiritually evolving path.

She spent ten years learning and teaching in Hawaii, receiving a great deal of potent wisdom from the natural world.

In 2011 she participated in Ashtanga vinyasa yoga teacher training in Thailand (‘It’s Yoga’) under Pablo Alvarez. Tirzah has completed eight months of intense yoga training (levels one through eight) at Agama Yoga University on Koh Phangan in Thailand, graduating from level 8 Self Realization and Yoga Philosophy as Yoga Disciple. She received a vast array of spiritual wisdom from spending many seasons at Agama and the intention of returning thrills her.

She has attended Maha’s Naturopathic Yogic Healing workshop, a five day Yoga Nidra/Astral Projection/Lucid Dreaming workshop at Agama taught by Swami Vivekananda, as well as Tantra 1, Tantra 2 workshops, and an eight day Third Eye silent retreat. She has studied Kashmiri Shaivism in Agama’s six day workshop as well as the week long intensive silent retreat.

Tirzah has taken workshops with Mukta Ananda, Bryan Kest, Saul David Raye, Swami Vivekananda, Joan and Tomas Heartfield, Girish and Shiva Rae. She participated in a week long yoga retreat with Twisting Peacock Yoga on Koh Samui in 2013. She was a presenter at the Soulful Tribe Arizona Yoga Festival in 2016 and 2017.

With great influence from the East, Tirzah’s high vibes classes are designed to not only benefit on physical levels, but substantially raise vibrations while consciously connecting mind, body and spirit in a light-hearted fashion. Her instruction includes a strong emphasis on breath, proper alignment, the juicy flow of energy and inner/outer frequencies of pure love!

With an often playful authenticity and a spiritual objective, Tirzah encourages others to break through the veils of social conditioning to fully blossom. It is her soul’s purpose to benefit others in their evolution. She offers compassionate space to heighten physical, energetic, sexual, mental, emotional and spiritual well being…with a little bit of fun!

Yoga aids in the replacement of ego-controlled thoughts with a feeling of vibrating lightness and love. She likes to imagine the earth’s elements as her guide. When a river comes to a rock, it doesn’t fight it, get stuck or turn around, it simply flows with the current.

She believes that all people have an internal fire that, through yoga, can ignite feelings of compassion, connection and love that burn within each of us. Like the ocean, that can be turbulent and busy on the surface but so quiet and serene beneath, we too can find that peace and stillness through yoga.

Tirzah considers herself a citizen of the world and has received the richest education through travel (external and internal). She adores cultivating spiritual knowledge while expanding her heart and consciousness with the support of the Natural world.

She is currently working on trusting her heart’s guidance, eliminating self-doubt and finding amusement in any situation. She feels most alive while illuminating herself and others in the vast ocean of boundless Love!

Tirzah recognizes that there is no end destination, only a continuous, personal, mind-expanding, adventurous journey. She encourages her students to follow their own heart and trust their intuition on and off the mat.

She is happy to share her gems internationally and is currently teaching classes and workshops at studios and festivals around the country as well as in schools and offices.

We are divine, luminous beings made up of the same energy as the great ocean, a fragrant flower, sunsets, moonbows and the stars!

Be present. Be mindful. Let go. And love it all!

“I honor the place in you in which the entire universe dwells. I honor the place in you which is of love, of truth, of light. When you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, we are one.” Namaste.
